The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure click here at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The provider position designed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
